Note: David Baxter Morrow, the fourth child of James Gillis & Mary Davis Morrow remained in Tennessee. In 1829 he was married to Elizabeth Rudolph, a member of the McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Rudolphs were a prominent family in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, especially in McCracken County (Paducah), Kentucky. Several Rudolph families moved to Izard County, Arkansas during the first half of the 19th century, & settled in the community of Mount Pleasant. David Morrow & family later moved to Kentucky, where in 1833 he became a candidate for the ministry in Anderson Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was licensed to preach in 1836. In that same year the family moved to McCracken County, Kentucky, where David became a member of the Obion Presbytery. He was ordained by Obion Presbytery in 1845, & in 1853 moved with his family to Independence County, Arkansas. The following year he joined White River Presbytery, where he served as a pastor for most of his ministry.
