a. Note:   Daniel was born in 1810 in Brooke Co., W. Va. and married in 1831 in Richland Co., Ohio. Newmans' family moved to the old Hedges Farm in Richland Co.,(Mansfield), Ohio in 1823, which was Matildas' Grandfathers. The Daniel Billings in Crawford Co., Todd Twps. 1860 is him and Matilda. His estate was worth $50.00 in 1860. This was sent to me by Shirley Billings In 1840 US Fed. Census shows he had 1 son 5-10, 1 male 30-40, 2 daughters under 5, 1 female 30-40. In 1860 US Fed. Census on June 11th, in Todd, Crawford Co., Ohio, personal property valued at 100 dollars, Daniel and Matilda where farming. It show that there where 5 children at home. In 1860 US Fed. Census on July 24th they had moved to Dallas, Crawford Co., Ohio, with 5 children at home, personal property valued at 50 dollars. And his occupation is farming. In 1870 US Fed. Census shows Daniel is living in Dallas, Crawford Co., Ohio, personal property is 210 dollars and has 4 children at home. IN 1880 US Fed. Census Shows Daniel and Matilda are living with Nancy C. (daughter) and George Lohr. They lived in Antrim, Wyandot Co., Ohio.
