Notes
a. Note:   SS # 126 03 2263 issued in New York. Eva told family that she immigrated to St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, When she was about 3yrs old. She was cared for by her older sister. According to her, both Switzers' and Halbison were friends in Alsace Lorraine and went to Canada together. Eva recalled her father speaking a lot of hunting big game in Manitoba, Canada. She thinks he spent his early years there. Eva immigrated in 1893 and was staying with her brother Alex in Erie Co., New York. When she was 18yrs. of age, her brother Louis wrote asking her to come home, back to St. Catharines, to take care of their father (who had injured his hand with a fish hook). After his death due to (blood) Poisoning, she stayed on in St. Catharines and married Wm. Sullivan in 1908 at 21 yrs of age.
