a. Note:   In 1850 US Fed. Census Jacob lived in Mifflin Twps., Richland Co., Ohio, occupation was a farmer. Jacob and Christianna had one child and had his mother living with them (Mary M. Horner from Pennsylvania). In 1860 US Fed. Census Jacob lived in Goshen, Auglaize Co., Ohio, occupation framer property valued at 700 dollars and personal property valued at 200 dollars. They had 3 children. In 1862 Jacob enlisted in the Union Army. He was a private in Co. B, 45th O.V.I. and enlisted on August 9, 1862.
