a. Note:   0, when she and John are recorded with her son James and his wife in the census of New London, Connecticut. Later, she resided in Canada with her daughter, Rebecca Mason (nee Elkington). After Rebecca's death, she migrated back to America, and was buried in Napa, CA. in the family plot of James Elkington.
  Correspondence from Cecilia Elkington Setty in 2009 -
 "Found a newspaper article (Napa Register Jan 1891) Amelia's obit stating that she was born 31 Dec 1804 in Manchester, that she had been a widow for 48 years and she came to America 31 years ago. She was survived by James, John and Timothy and 24 grand children living, and 22 great grand children."
Note:   "Filler of Silk" in 1851. She emigrated to America with her son John between May 1858 and 186
