Note: In the 1930 Federal census, he was alone. From correspondence with Cecelia M Setty nee Elkington in April 2009 -
"Marie Elizabeth Rieners married my father Arthur George (he went by George) on 20 Jun 1917. (right before he was drafted and he was discharged 6 weeks later because of his inability to raise his left arm). He divorced her in 1930, have to get the dates, (there are court documents). I do not know of any children in this first marriage for George."
"He married my mother Anne Gertrude Happ on 31 May 1930 in San Francisco. Arthur George Elkington my father died 26 June 1966 at the Hospital in Carmel, Monterey Co. Ca."
