Note: Bessie was a professional watercolor artist, having studied at Corcoran Art Gallery in Washington D.C.. Her brothers built her a studio near their homes on the shore of Lake Superior; she named it "Cransoun Studio" using the old Scottish Crest. Source: Elaine Foster
