Note: At the time of his death, he was district supervisor for the State Department of Education with responsibilities in St. Charles, St. Louis, and Jefferson counties. He was superintendent of schools in the school district of the city of St. Charles from 1961 to 1969. He was a graduate of Elvins High School, attended Flat River Junior College and received his BS degree in education from Southeast Missouri State College. He received a master of arts degree from Washington University, St. Louis. He taught music on all grade levels in the Elvins, Festus and St. Charles schools.
