a. Note:   Chester grew up on his family farm in Farmer, Texas. After his father's death in 1918 he helped his mother Agnes and cousin John J. Cameron work the farm. He met his future wife Eula in the Young County Community. They were married in Archer City, Texas. Chester, wife Eula and their two boys moved to El Paso, Texas in 1929 - 1930 as his brother John had found him work. He later became an El Paso Fireman working at Central Fire Station across the street from Liberty Hall on Overland Street. Later he owned and operated "Porters Place" a beer establishment for over 20 years. His business was located in Five Points at the intersection of Yandell and N. Piedras St. Funeral officiated by Dr. James A. Jauncey
