Notes
a. Note:   Tom and his family were members of the 1st Baptist Church, Loving, Texas, there was a preacher that rotated between 1st Baptist and three other churches in the area, so on a Sunday a month, when the regular preacher was not in attendance, Tom Harman stood in his place. When Tom's family moved to the farm in Loving, Texas, there had been a Large Comanche Village on the north side of the property next to a corn field. The indian markings were shown to Grandson N. Lynn Porter by his Grandfather Tom Harman, in the 1940's. These markings were on several post oak trees and sandstone rocks. Tom and his wife Anise raised fruit and vegetables which Tom peddled out of the back seat of his 36 Ford 4 door sedan. Much of his produce was sold to his son C.F. who had a Grocery Store in Loving, Texas and the rest he sold to the communities of Olney and Graham. He had the best Watermelons and Alberta Fay Peaches in the County.
