Note: Daniel William Lieber's birthname was Daniel William Haynes. His birth mother was Jewell M. Haynes. He was adopted soon after birth to Daniel Stephen Liebnitz and Ada Viola Claiborne Liebnitz. When Daniel William was a small child, his adoptive father, Daniel Stephen Liebnitz officially changed their surname to LIEBER during WWII, as he was a salesman and the strong German surname LIEBNITZ hindered his work since the United States was at war with Germany. Daniel Stephen's only sibling, Paul W. Liebnitz, never changed his surname. Obituary: LIEBER Daniel William, age 60, born January 5, 1939 in Kansas City, Kansas, died August 11, 1999 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Daniel came to Oklahoma as a small child in the 1940's. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. He was a "friend of Bill W." for many years. He was preceded in death by his dad, Daniel Stephen Lieber. He is survived by mother, Ada Viola Lieber; daughter, Karen Diane Smith; son, Stephen Daniel Lieber; 6 grandchildren, and many friends.
