Note: Find A Grave Memorial# 17818994 Boyd Fallwell The Norman Transcript � Boyd Eugene Fallwell of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, Jan. 31. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Southwest Baptist Church, 1300 SW 54th in Oklahoma City, with Pastor Sam Davison officiating. Interment will follow 2 p.m. at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel. Mr. Fallwell was born to Cecil and Hazel Fallwell Sept. 3, 1933. He was the owner and operator of Fallwell's Garage in Oklahoma City for more than 20 years. He was a longtime member of Southwest Baptist Church where he drove a bus in their ministry. Mr. Fallwell served his country in the United States Army and was also in the military police. He began conducting military honors for veterans and their families all across the state and was well known for his dedication, service and compassion to others. He also was requested on many occasions to speak and conduct military honors for service organizations, city officials, county offices, churches, funeral homes, schools and Veterans Day ceremonies. He founded Chaplain Boyd Fallwell Ministries. He would visit, minister and pray to veterans in hospitals, nursing homes and to homebounds. He had several articles published for his devoted willingness and services for helping others. He also received numerous award, citations and gifts including the Meritorious Service Medal, which he received twice and the Commanding Generals Outstanding Unit Award along with a bronze sculpture of himself. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hazel Fallwell; brother Leander Fallwell and sister Mildred. He is survived by his wife Pat of the home; three children Rocky Eugene Fallwell and wife Cathy of Lakeville, Minn., daughter Linda Kay McKean of Oklahoma City, Kellie Lynn Ross of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren Chris Fallwell and wife Angela, Matt Fallwell, Jeff Fallwell and wife Emilie, Ashley Buchanan, Lauren McKean, Kristi Brotherton and husband Justin, Dylan Ross, Orin Hazelwood; five great-grandchildren Paige, Reese, Luke, Tanner and Justin; six siblings, Rowena Geurin, Betty Bennett and husband Daryl, Mary McCoy and husband Ken, Retha Hendrix, Lester Fallwell, Jim Fallwell and wife Joy; sister-in-law Dorothy Means and husband Harold and brother-in-law Larry Walker.
