Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home, 7345 Roswell Road, SW, Sherrodsville, with the Rev. Charles McNatt officiating. Burial will be at Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 277, Sherrodsville 44675. He was born June 13, 1914, in Millersburg to Edward and Clara May (Styer) Carillon and married Mina Marie Belknap on May 11, 1937. She died July 17, 1997. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Persia (Iran) and Germany, as a master sergeant, and had worked on the Panama Canal. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Ohio Operating Engineers. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, and with his wife, enjoyed traveling. They had spent their winters in Florida. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Brothers, John, Albert and Raymond Carillon and sisters, Mary Horner, Grace Mencer, Alice Kiner, Louella Troyer and Betty Anderson, died previously.
