Note: kBaptized at St Matthews Lutheran Church, West Hoboken. Beginning in 1941 worked for Alcoa in Edgewater for 24 years until the plant was closed in 1965(screw machine operator). Starting in 1965 worked at American Cynamid in Wayne as an Assistant Chef in the executive guest house until the company closed it. He continued working for Cynamid on the maintenance staff in the headquarters building in Wayne until his retirement in 1981. Father's name was Rudolf, Mother's Antonia. Was born on Highpoint Av between New York and Bergenline Avenues. Attended Union Hill High School(finished 11th grade) while living on 48th Street, Union City. Entered Army Air Force in Sept 1942 and served until Nov 1945. During WWII served in the South Pacific and Japan as a cook. Reached sergeant but demoted to corporal for giving food to hungry foreign children against orders of his superior officer. During their marriage, he and Genevieve took numerous trips; Germany Yugoslavia, Hawaii, Switzerland, Holland, England as well as several cruises including one from San Francisco thru the Panama Canal to Florida.
