a. Note:   Nancy's obituaries: "Last Friday morning Mrs. John Brown passed away at her home in Randall, after a brief illness. The cause of her death was a paralytic stroke. Mrs. Brown was well known in this vicinity, having lived in Morrison county for a good many years. She leaves a husband, three brothers and three sisters, all of whom were present at the funeral, besides a host of friends and relatives to mourn her death. Funeral services were held at the house at 1:30 Sunday afternoon and 2:30 at the Presbyterian church, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Randall cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all." "Nancy Maria Gish was born in LeSueur county, July 13, 1857, was married to John Brown February 24, 1876. resided in LeSueur county until 1879, at this date they moved to Parker township in Morrison county where they took up a homestead sixteen miles west of Little Falls where they continued to reside until 1917, except for two years which were spent in the states of Washington and Oregon. Since that date they have resided at their present home in Randall, Minnesota. Mrs. Brown passed away Friday morning, June 10, 1921, after a brief illness. She was laid to rest in the Randall cemetery, June 12, 1921 under the direction of Rev. A. Goodger of Little Falls. She leaves an aged husband, three sisters Mary C. Miller of Staples, MN, Martha Wynn and Emma Sharon of East Hartford, Todd County. Three brothers, Geo. W. Gish of Cushing, W. S. Gish of Onamia and John M. Gish of International Falls, and many other relatives and friends who mourn her loss. Mrs. Brown was all her life a special attraction among the young people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her."
