a. Note:   d step-brother and step-sister. The Hardesty book says that they had 9 children. Hi Naomi, I am so glad that you are benefiting from all the obits that Mom & I have collected. The old ones are really special. I have such a huge box ofthem that I wonder if I will ever get thru and then there is still the paper to go thru every week. I was in Meade Co yesterday. Mom had told me on the phone that Rita Adkisson Thompson wanted me to stop by because she had somethingthat she wanted to give me. Well, you can imagine my surprise when she gave me our Great Uncle Mike's prayer book. Uncle Mike was son of Mack & Mattie. Itis "My Prayer Book" by Father F X Lasance. In the front cover is written "James Michael Hardesty Portageville, Missouri given by Marthan Hardesty on father's day 1952" exact spelling. I wonder if Martha was Martha Ann, notice his spelling.
