Notes
a. Note:   rah Frances SAPP was Sarah F. GARRETT. The marriage license says her name was Sarah Frances SAPP. I don't know if GARRETT was just misinformation or what the confilict is. In an email from Sue Russell, she says that Adam WILSON is buried in Badger Cemetery. Which is located on Highway 70, which used to be called Badger Road, going into Derby, Indiana. The Marriage Certificate shows the wife of Adam Wilson to be Sarah Franc es Sapp. We had been told all of our lives that her name was Sarah Garret t. I talked with the last living child of this couple in 1999 and she had nev er heard of the name Sapp. It was a mystery to her as well. She said th at she had always thought that Sarah's last name was Garrett. Could it be that Sarah had been married before and that her married name w as Sapp, but hermaiden name is actually Garrett. The Marriage Certificate says that on the25th day of February 1872, Ad am Wilson and Sarah Frances Sapp were joined together as Husband and Wife by me. Signed Alva Stiles, Minister. State of Indiana, Perry County. Headstone per Sue Russell Badger Cem. off Hwy 70 abt 2 mibefore Derby, IN The 1910 U.S. Census says that she had 7 children born to her and that 5 were still living.
