I have not got no letter from you since I left 2 weeks ago. C.E. Randolph" FROM JAMES GIDEON: #1. A day or two after her mother's Funeral, Enola was cleaning up after supper when she glanced out the window, she saw her mother just as she was laid out at the funeral, standing a short distance away, she turned around to tell the other's and when she looked up again she was gone. #2. Enola had promised her mother on her death bed she would never marry. I suspect the marriage with Justin was not the best. Later she had met William Orrin Freeman and was troubled because of her promise to her mother not to marry & her own desire. She was lying in bed & couldn't sleep, she saw her mother standing at the foot of the bed & she said "you can marry him if you want to he's as good as you can do" as a child this was very memorable to me, I don't think I'll every forget it. #3. Enola had been very sick, it was summer & very warm, the others were on the porch, she was in bed in the house, she saw her mother at the foot of the bed, she walked to the side of the bed & put her hand on her forehead & said "it will be alright, you'll get well" and she did. An interesting story that might help understand Justin. After Lorinda died in 83 (Enola would be 16) Justin came in from town in 1885 with Nancy and told Enola "this is your new stepmother" a total surprise, Enola was 16 then. At first they didn't get along well but as time past she learned to like Nancy. Enola left home soon & worked cooking for a lumber camp crew where she met William Orrin F. and married him on Sept, 6 -1885 in James Creek, Randolph, Ark,
