Note:   Source: Shawnee News-Star Thursday, January 13, 1944 Ezra Daly Denson, 82, who had been in failing health for the past six months, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday at his home, 423 South Pennsylvania Street. Denson, a retired farmer, came to this community in 1920 from Comanche and had lived here since that time. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include seven sons, John, W.L., Charlie and George, all of Porterville Calif.; Oscar, Killeen, Tex.; Jesse, Memphis, Tenn.; and Elmer Denson, medical detachment of the army, stationed at Camp Swift, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Mauldin, Porterville, Calif.; Mrs. M.C. Gordon, Shawnee; and Mrs. Velda McDonald, Carter; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildrenand one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be hold at 2 p.m. today in the Roesch Brothers Chapel with Rev. Orval See, pastor of the Oklahoma Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Bearers include Jim Morrow, J.E. Gardner, Bill Holt, Elmer Freeman, Jerry Murphy and W.M. Clem. Census: 1900 Census: June 14, 1900, ED ???
