Note: Born and reared in Oakland, CA. He attended Catholic school. His father was a dispatcher for a truck company. He worked for his dad's company as a trucker until he got his accounting certificate. He was a bookkeeper in the Marines from 1944-45. When he went into the service he was already married with two children (Patricia and Joan). SSN was 700-05-8002 (Railroad # - Southern Pacific) He graduated from Golden Gate College, San Francisco, with a major in accounting. This was a two year college so he did not receive a degree in accounting. He did however pass his exams and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).He was the first presidentof the CPA Assn of Northern California in the 1950s. He worked as a CPA for 23 years until he retired. He was an avid golfer and swimmer. He was a Catholic, a member of the Knights of Columbus and St Rose's Church in Santa Rosa. He lived in Oakland, Walnut Creek, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Stockton, and Palm Springs, CA. He died at 72 years of age. Cause of death was lung cancer. He had prostate cancer first. He is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, California. He was married three times- Imelda Richardson, Margaret, and Marguerite Day/ He was divorced from his second wife. Children from the first marriage only. Born and reared in Oakland, he graduated from Golden Gate College, San Francisco, and moved to Sonoma County in 1956. He was a certified public accountant with an office in Santa Rosa for 23 years. He maintained a home in Santa Rosa until his death. He was an avid golfer and swimmer. He served in the Marine Corps in China during World War II. He was the first president in the early 1950s of the Certified Public Accountant Association of Northern California. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Rose Parish. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Carter of Stockton; daughters, Patricia Presnell of Mountain View, Joan Kennedy of Montana, and Camille Gardner of Arkansas; sisters, Winifred Sneeringer and June Carter, both of Grass Valley, five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family prefers donations in his memory to the Cancer Research Institute.
