CARTER*********************************** who died unexpectedly in San Francisco on October 7, 1970. It was Mrs. Carter's expertise which went into the preparation of the bulletin for printing. CNA District 15 has lost a loyal friend....she had a sincere interest in nursing and concern for nursing problems. Mrs. Carter's husband, Thomas H. Carter, Jr., is the District's Certified Public Accountant. Memorial Funds are being sent to Visiting Nursing and Cardinal Newman High School, Santa Rosa. Sincere sympathy is extended to Mr. Carter, and daughters, Patricia Cory, Joan Kennedy, and Camille Gardner. OBITUARY The Press Democrat - Santa Rosa, California - 9 Oct 1970 IMELDA CARTER Funeral services will be conducted Monday in Oakland for Imelda R. (Irene) Carter of Santa Rosa, who died Wednesday in a San Francisco hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Carter, a native of Oakland, moved to Sonoma County 16 years ago from Walnut Creek. Her home was at 2039 Marsh rd. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Thomas H. Carter Jr., Santa Rosa; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Cory, Mrs. Joan Kennedy and Mrs. Camille Gardner, and five grandchildren. She was also the sister of Pauline Peck, Marjorie Boegel, and Bernard, Milton and James Richardson. Services will befin at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Charles P. Bannon Mortuary, 6800 E. 14th st., Oakland, and continue to St. Benedict's Church where Requiem Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Newman High School or the Visiting Nursing Service of Sonoma County.
