a. Note:   Seneca - Florence C. Lynch, 78, of Seneca died Monday, December 12, 2005, at her residence. A funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, Bancroft with Reverend Jerome P. Cosgrove, Reverend Paul D. Bormann, and Reverend Mr. Phil Doocy concelebrating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Bancroft. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Bancroft with a rosary beginning at 4:30 PM and a scripture prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Florence Cecelia Lynch was born February 9, 1927, in rural Vernon Township, daughter of Leo Edward and Nellie Florence (Calentine) Conway. She attended Vernon Township # 1 school graduating from Seneca Consolidated High School in 1944. She then taught country school in Emmett County prior to marriage. Florence was united in marriage to Robert Leo Lynch on February 6, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger. She and Bob farmed northwest of Lone Rock and moved into Seneca in 1963. Florence loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing cards. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armstrong, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and she was a past 4-H Leader. She is survived by her husband Robert of Seneca; six children, Mary Menke and her husband Don of Indianola, Ellen Schiltz and her husband Rob of Fort Dodge, Tim Lynch and is wife Pauline of Duncan, Teresa Geitzenauer and her husband Jim of Armstrong, Anne Vaske and her husband David of Fort Dodge, and Carol Patterson and Ed Stadler of Swea City; nineteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by seven sisters, Lucille Sewell and her husband Wayne of Guthrie Center, Edna Nelson and her husband Charles of Emmetsburg, Alice Murphy and her husband Don of Cherokee, Delores Hauber and her husband Harry of Spirit Lake, Mary Schroder and her husband Bob of Ankeny, Virginia Fokken of Cherokee, and Frances Brink and her husband Ben of Rock Rapids; one brother, Leo Conway and his wife Arlene of Emmetsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
