G. age 19 and Claude P. age 16 1920: Three Rivers City, St. Joseph Co, Michigan Clark W. Brown age 43, occupation oils machines at the papermill Margaret age 28 with 2 children: Clark O. age 2 2/12 and Arthur J. age 1. Alonzo age 64 and Martha age 64. Claude P. Brown lives just down the street. 1930: Three Rivers City, St. Joseph Co, Michigan Clark W. Brown age 54, occupation laborer at papermill Margaret age 39 with 6 children: Clark O. age 12, Arthur J. age 11, Herbert A. age 9, Twins Anna May and Claude F. age 7 and Catherine F. age 1 7/12. Clark W. Brown was in and out of the army between 1905 and 1915. First Enlistment: 1-16-1905 in Fargo, ND. He served with Company M of the 7th Infantry until his discharge on 1-12-1906 at Fort Logan, CO. Second Enlistment: 1-13-1906 in Fort Logan, CO. He served in Company M of the 2nd Infantry until his discharge on 1-12-1909 at Assinni Baine (sp?), Montana. Third Enlistment: 1-23-1909 at Fort Snelling, MN. He served with Company H and Company B in the 28th Infantry until discharge on 2-10-1912 at Fort Snelling. Fourth Enlistment: 2-18-1912 at Fort Snelling, MN. He served in Company A of the 28th Infantry until being discharged on 4-5-1915. Clark liked to read and was interested in government and politics. Discharged 4-5-1915 at Galveston, TX. According to Anna May Brown: Clark was older when he got married (as well as older mentally) and didn't interact with his children a lot; he didn't play ball or that sort of things with the boys. He often sat by the stove and chewed tobacco or made his own cigarettes. He was quiet and tended to drink a lot so you couldn't always count on him. Clark worked for the paper mill for a while and later, the WPA. When he was older, about 70, his son (the minister) got him a job working as a janitor which he continued until he died. He didn't have a car so he took a cab to work.
