Norris who sent her a compilation by his "Aunt Helen" (Is this Helen Wallace?) and the source of information is some in-depth research by a Mrs. Crouch. No other identifying information. 3. Martha Haut <mfhaut@hotmail.com>. 1830 Redbud Dr., Joplin, MO 64801 Spouse Nancy HALEY, born May 1791. Married 21 Nov 1811, Warren Co., KY. She died 6 Feb 1870. Children John Henry, Patrick Haley, Frances, William Cooke, Julia. The family moved to Warren county, Illinois, sometime after 1830 and lived on a farm north of Cameron and south of coldbrook. Papers of Mary May Norris indicate that Isaac sold that farm to go to Bethany, WV to put Patrick and three other young men in college. The others were: J.W. Butler, son of Isaac's sister Rachel; A.B. Murphy, son of Isaac's brother, Joseph; and John C. Reynolds, no relation. They drove to West Virginia in their carry-all, a covered two-seated carriage. While in WV, Frances died and was buried on a side hill, the spot later known as the Lone Grave. This was a secluded spot she loved to visit and when she was dying of consumption, she requested that she be buried there. In one of the Warren county histories, Isaac is listed as one of the preachers who served the Christian church at coldbrook. Another reference credits Isaac and his brothers, Joseph and William, along with several others as laying the foundation of the Disciples of Christ in Warren, Henderson, and Knox counties. Nancy lived with her daughter-in-law, Louisa Encell Murphy Downs, in her later years. She had outlived her husband and all her children.
