On the 1850 Census of Warren Co., IL is Ephraim Smith age 52 with Lucy as his wife, age 31. This is probably a second marriage, which indicated that Hannah may have died and Ephraim remarried. The children on the census could belong to either mother. They are: Bryon age 16 b. IL; Myron age 16 b. IL; Paradine 11 (f) b. IL; Perry 8 b. IL; George 4, b. IL; Orrin 2 b. IL and Emeline 1 b. IL. There is a 5 year gap after the birth of the twins; but there are also other substantial gaps of 3 yrs between Paradine and Perry and Perry and George. The last three children appear to be closer together.
