Note:   Housekeeper, and child care worked for the Gahamsor Grimms for25 years over on Wabash, KC, MOStarting after she turned 40.Grandmother Beers was found walking on the white center line in4 lane rush hour traffic. She told the policeman that she waswalking on the sidewalk. Very soon after that she was placed ina nursing home, way out in the county so she could not walk overto Grandma Frances's home. It was on Noland Rd, past hwy 40.It was a large square two story house of yellow stone. He with his parentscame to Kansas when he was 17 years old. They located at LincolnKansas and remained there several years then moved to Abilene,KS Grandfather Walck was a carpenter and lived in Abilene untilgrand mother's death in 1903 when he returned to Pennsylvania.Grandmother is buried at Abilene, KS. That is all I know aboutGrandfather Walck.My mother's, (Theodara's) parents lived in New York State.Grandfather Ephriam C. Williams was of Irish decent andGrandmother Williams, Julia Polley, was a Connecticut Yankee.They with my mother and the rest of their family came west byway of the Erie Canal. The Great Lakes and landed at the Port ofWisconsin when my mother was 5 years old. They came overland toMissouri in wagons drawn by oxen and settled at Hamilton , MO.Grandfather invested heavily in sheep but lost everything due topoor markets and the ravages of wolves. They came to Kansas whenMother was 16 and grandmother died shortly afterward. Both sheand grandfather are buried at Osawatomie, KS.Mother went to Abilene to visit her sister Nellie who hadmarried Harry Mosley. They were working on the Jolly Ranch notfar from Abilene. My father was also working on the Jolly Ranchand there he met mother. They courted a year and were and weremarried at Abilene, KS, Nov. 27 1884 on Thanksgiving day. Theybegan housekeeping at New Cambria, KS where I was born Dec 22nd1885. Brother Ona was born there Mar 10th 1887. We lived there untilMarch 1889 when we moved to Sterling IL. Here Sister Edith wasborn Dec. 17th 1889. We moved back to Kansas when Edith was 3months (About Mar 17, 1890) and went to Osawatomie where sisterMyrtle waas born Oct. 4th. 1891. We moved back to New Cambria,KS where brother Edward was born May 28th 1893. From New Cambriathe family moved to Springfield, MO, in a covered wagon, wherewe all slept I've never know but I gues we did We lived inSpringfield, MO a coule of years when Dad took up a timber claim13 miles south of Springfield and East where we nearly starvedto death and sister Hazel was born Jul 12, 1896.In 1897 we moved back to Osawatomie, KS and stayed there until1899 when we moved to Armourdale, KS, now Kansas City KS.Brother Ona died, April 27, 1899 following the measles. He isburied in Oak Grove Cemetary Kansas City, KS.In January of 1901 we moved to Auburn, NE where sister Franceswas born June 3, 1902. We spent about four years in Auburnreturning to Kansas City, KS in 1904. In the spring of 1905 wemoved to Salina, KS. Were I met and married Robert BurnsStewart, Dec 25, 1906 Following my wedding the folks moved backto Kansas City then to Evanston, WY. Edith married George MathewFuller in 1907. Myrtle married Harry Burner in 1912. Hazlemarried Issac David Smith in 1913. Brother Ed married ElsieWhitacre. Dec. 23, 1914. Frances married Earnest Andrews, May28, 1919. Mother passed away Aug 18, 1911 and is buried at Mt.Washington Cemetery in Jackson Co., MO now Indepenedence MO.Dad passed away June 2, 19115 and is buried in Mt. Hope Cemeteryin Kansas City, KS.
