Note: Patrick Burns (a Scahill-McDonnel/McDonald descendant) corresponded with Harry Bonney Jr. in 2001-2. Harry told him that Mary Jane McDonald lived with her daughter, Gertrude Scahill Bonney and Harry Bonney Sr. and sewed clothes for their son, Harry Jr. He also said that Gertrude and her daughter, a nun, (Marie) were very musical, as were other relatives, the Burns and the Scahills. Patrick Burns plays the bagpipe and Burton Scahill could play music on any instrument in any key after hearing it once, even though he could not read music.
