Later, they sold the mill to Rufus Denmark and Burt Crist, and they (Rufus and Burt) moved the equipment to Durham, NC. 1900 - Bradford County Directory - Canton Borough: Bunn (William and Francis), planing mill, N. Bunn died February 1, 1917 at his home on East Union Street, after an illness of a little more than an hour of acute indigestion. Funeral services were held at the house Sunday, February 3, with interment at Ogdensburg. Deceased was born December 10, 1851, and was, therefore, 65 years, one month, and 23 days old at the time of his sudden death. Growing to manhood he engaged in lumbering and was very successful in a business way. For 28 years he conducted a lumbering business at Ogdensburg, and for 8 years was the owner of a planing mill in this place, at the corner of Minnequa Avenue and Carson Street. For 4 years he and his son, Anderson, operated a saw mill at Redburn, near Ralston, and something over a year ago, they came to Canton, where his son went into the shoe business, and Mr. Bunn built himself a modern residence on East Union Street, in which he expected to spend many years. Recently the firm of F. L. Bunn and Son had become interested in a big lumber job near Port Jervis, N. Y., and had made several trips to that place within a few months. In early life, he married Miss Emma Whittenmore, and to this union born 3 children; Mrs. Gary Vroman of Ogdensburg; Mrs. William Lodge of Morris Run, and Anderson Bunn of this place. In addition to the above, he is survived by his wife, two brothers, William and John Bunn of Ogdensburg, and one sister, Mrs. William Ridge of Liberty. He was a director in the Farmers National Bank and a life-long member of the Disciple Church at Ogdensburg. His death, coming so suddenly, was a terrible shock to the entire community. He was universally respected and highly esteemed, both as a loyal citizen and a friend.
