a. Note:   1851 - Lydia was born to Benjamin Plank (b. 3/5/1823, Shamokin, PA; d. 4/3/1901, Ogdensburg) and Christina Long, a native of Liberty, PA. Ben and Christina had 8 children. Christina was living with Scott and Lydia at the time of her death on 15 Mar 1917. Lydia and Emma Bunn's sister, Mary Hertel, appears in the David Stratton family.
  1901 - "Blossburg Advertiser", Fri., April 12, 1901: Benjamin Planck, an old resident, died at his home in Ogdensburg, April 3, 1901. The funeral was held from the Union church, April 6, the Rev. Mr. Adams, of Ralston, officiating. Mr. Planck was born at Shamokin, March 5, 1823, and on April 21, 1850, he was joined in holy wedlock to Miss Christina Long, of Liberty, by whom he is survived. This union was blessed with eleven children, Mrs. Lloyd Vedder, of Roseville; Mrs. Scott Stratton, Mrs. Jackson Bunn and Miss Margaret, of Ogdensburg; Mrs. John Hertel, of Ralston; Mrs. Herman Leib, of Roaring branch; Emery, of Sidney, Neb, and Martin, of Elmira heights, living, and John, Samuel and Daniel, deceased, besides 34 grandchildren and one great grand child had lived to bless his old age. Mr. Planck was a good Christian gentleman, beloved wherever he was known for his many sterling qualities and benevolent ways. He had been a constant church member for 42 years. He has gone to a well-earned reward, and on doubt when his spirit entered the pearly gates the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" greeted him. He was a veteran of the late rebellion, a member of Co. B, ??, P. V. The pall bearers were Jeremiah Austin, Joseph Lodge, James Herman, Thos. Groover, Jackson Austin, and James Whitcomb.
  1931 - "Star-Gazette", week of Aug. 16:
 Mrs. Lydia Stratton, 80, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Andrews, 219 1/2 Birchwood Ave., Elmira Heights, of an apoplectic seizure. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Sidney Tallman of Penn Yan, Mrs. Frances Kenyon of Bluff Point; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Degger of Elmira Heights, Mrs. Amanda Leib of Williamsport, PA, Mrs. John Hertel (Mary) of Ralston, PA, Mrs. Jackson Bunn (Emma) of Ogdensburg, PA; a brother, Emory Plank of Nebraska. Mrs. Stratton was a former resident of Bradford County, Pa. The funeral will be held in Ogdensburg, PA, Church, Monday at 2 p.m.
