1957 - Dec. 25 - death of Harry - buried in Park Cemetery, Canton, Bradford Co., PA
1984 - "The Canton Independent-Sentinel" - Mrs. Clara Bunn Spencer, 93, of Canton RD2, died Oct. 19, 1984 at her home. Mrs. Spencer was born Sept. 23, 1891, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Andrew (Jack) and Sarah Ridge Bunn. Mrs. Spencer was a former school teacher, graduating from Mansfield Normal School in 1909. She had the distinction of being one of the first women to graduate from that school. She taught in several one-room schools in the rural areas before marrying Harry T. Spencer, who predeceased her on Dec. 25, 1957. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Burt Owens of Canton RD2; one grandson, Thomas Owens of Hartford, CT; one granddaughter, Judy DiRaddo of Naples, NY; and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Bunn of Canton and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wilmarth of Canton; nieces and cousins. Funeral services were held Monday at the Morse-Kleese Funeral Home, Canton, with the Rev. Gerald Holmes, pastor of the Ogdensburg Church of Christ, officiating. Interment was in the Park Cemetery, Canton. Those wishing may forward memorial donations to either the Canton Ambulance Association or the Canton Community Nursing Service in Mrs. Spencer's memory.
