NY *living with daughter, Eleanor Williams and Eleanor's husband, Evan Williams* 1940 - Sept. 12 - Thurs. - Wellsboro Gazette - Mrs. Evangeline Williams, 85, widow of Ira Williams, one of Blossburg's oldest women residents, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evan Williams. She had been ill several weeks. Mrs. Williams was born in Ogdensburg, moved to Arnot, where she resided until 15 years ago when she came to Blossburg. She attended the Blossburg Methodist church, but remained a member of the Arnot Presbyterian church. She was the oldest member of Faithe Rebekah Lodge, and attended meetings untill her illness. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Williams, is a daughter, Mrs. Frank Place, of Blossburg; two brothers, John Stratton, of Ithaca and Robert Stratton, of California; grandson, Ira Williams of Blossburg; two great grandsons, Robert and Joseph Williams, of Blossburg. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Williams home, with the Rev. Ford Crippen, Methodist pastor, and the Rev. Albert Len?, Presbyterian pastor, officiating; burial was made in Arbon cemetery with members of Faithe Rebekah Lodge conducting the services. 1940 - Death certificate: Angeline Williams - Blossburg - widow - wife of Ira Williams - b.
