Note: William lived in Stanley, Ontario County, NY, before moving to Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA. He died at his home on Campbell St., Williamsport, from heart disease and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, NY. William and Jennie had a son, Leon T., died from tonsilitis at the age of seven, September 24, 1897, buried in Woodlawn Cemetery; he was born May 15, 1890. William was a PA Railroad employee for 53 years. Stratton, 88, of 680 Campbell Street, died at his residence Monday afternoon, May 28, 1956, following a short illness. He had been a PA RR employee for 53 years, retiring as a conductor. He was a member of the Old Oak Lodge No. 253, F&AM. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; five sons, Floyd of Buffalo; Durland of Syracuse; Kenneth of Altadena, Calif., Lee of San Gabriel, Calif., and James, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Philip Brooks of Willow Grove, and Mrs. D. J. Logan of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Bastians's, 829 West Fourth St, with the Rev. Floyd J. Taylor, pastor of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday.
