Note: 1979 - April 3 - Tuesday - The Leader, Corning, NY: WELLSBORO, Pa.- Roger A. Pequrgnot (spelling as it appeared in newspaper), 61, of 10 Lincoln St., Wellsboro died today, April 3, 1979, in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, shortly after admission. His death has been attributed to a heart seizure. He was born June 24, 1917 in Liberty Township, the son of Alfred and Grace Ridge Pequrgnot. He was married to the former June Monks. He was a retired truck driver for the H. W. Taynton Co., Wellsboro with 32 years of service. He was a member of the Whitneyville United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War 11. He was a member of the Nessmuk Rod and Gun Club. the Lambs Creek Sportsman's Club and the National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife, June; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Dixie Lee) Sheridan of Wellsboro RD1; a sister, Mrs. William (Althea) Jessup of Covington, Pa; a brother, William of Randolph, N.Y.; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. There will be calling hours for the family only Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Tussey Funeral Home, Wellsboro. Services will be there Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Salem St. Paul Cemetery, Liberty Township. The family will provide flowers and friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Fund.
