Note: Jacob Loper was a Swede from Stockhold "who came out in the ship SWOL in the year 1643 as Commander and Captain Lieutenant." He also was a Commandant at Curacao in 1646. -- June 1649, "at present a burgher here." Jacob Loper was a Member of the Council of New Amsterdam. In 1646 He married Cornelia Melyn, the daughter of Cornelius Melyn. His wife remarried after his death to Jacob Schellinger.
