1949 - March 28 - Mon. Morning - "Gazette & Bulletin" - Williamsport:
Mrs. Carrie M. Sheffer, 82, widow of Elmer E. Sheffer, died at her home , 934 Allegheny street, Jersey Shore, March 25, 1949, after a long illness. She was born January 12, 1867, in Tioga County. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Jersey Shore; Ivanhoe Chapter of Order of Eastern Star; the Fort Antes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving is a brother, Murray J. Neal, of Liberty. Funeral services will be held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. W. W. Willard, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating . Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
