  1925 - Daniel bought the old Brooks Homestead, Rte. 414, Gleason, Union Twp., Tioga County, PA. He sold it in 1938 to the John Moretz family from NC. Thus the sharp corner in front of the house became known as Moretz' s Corners.

  1941 - April 2 - The Agitator - Wellsboro:
 Daniel Neal, aged 71 years, of Union township, near Ogdensburg, died March 26. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Neal, and was a native of Liberty, leaving there 18 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Flora Mase Neal, three sons, Miles, of Canton; Clifford and Harry, of Union; daughter, Mrs. Fred Brown of Liberty; three brothers, Freeman, of Horseheads; Murray, of Liberty; and William, of Mansfield, and sister, Mrs. Elmer Shaffer, of Jersey Shore. Funeral services were held Saturday, Rev. F. M. Kurtz , Grover pastor, officiating; burial in the Union cemetery at Liberty
  1941 - April 3 - Thurs. - Wellsboro Gazette:
 Danie (missing L) Neal, a former resident of Liberty, died March 26 at his home near Canton. Surviving are his wife, Flora; two sons, Harry and Clifford, of Canton, and a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Brown, of Liberty; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Sheffer, of Jersey Shore; two brothers, Freeman Neal, of Canton R.D. and Murray Neal, of Liberty. Funeral services were held Saturday, with burial in Union cemetery, Liberty.
