Mr. and Mrs. Murray Neal of Liberty, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dorothy E. to George W. Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Watkins, of Arnot. Miss Neal was graduated from the Williamsport Hospital Training School and is employed at the Blossburg State Hospital. Mr. Watkins is employed at Remington Rand. The wedding will take place in the near future.

Miss Dorothy E. Neal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Neal, of Liberty, and George W. Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Watkins, of Arnot, were married Oct. 16, at St. Mark's Lutheran church in Williamsport, Rev. J . Ray Houser officiating. Miss Leola Beck, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Andrew Watkins, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride wore blue velvet with matching accessories and Miss Beck wore a rose dress with black accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Watkins will reside in Elmira.

Dorothy Emma Age 97, of Orchard Dr. in Big Flats, passed away Monday, May 8, at home, surrounded by her loving caregivers. Dorothy was born November 11, 1908 in Liberty, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Murray and Mary Roupp Neal. She was a high school graduate, and went on to graduate from Williamsport Hospital Nursing Program, obtaining her status as Registered nurse. Dorothy worked at the Williamsport and Blossburg Hospitals. She was married to George Watkins, who predeceased her in 1996. She was also predeceased by a sister and a brother. Although her family is gone, Dorothy leaves behind her caregiving family of Ken Hughes, and Ruby, Debbie Gil iam and the friends at Orchard Dr. Services for Dorothy will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Ballard and Lindgren Funeral Home on Oakwood Ave. in Elmira Heights. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Liberty, Pennsylvania.
