PA Marcelius, single, age 25, single, b. NY 1910 - April 20 or 22 - census - Corning: Mary A. Rouse, widow, age 75, one marriage, mother of 5 with 2 living, own income 1912 - June 12 - Wed. - The Agitator - Wellsboro: Mrs. Mary Ann Rouse, aged 87 years, died Friday morning at the home of her brother, Samuel Neal, in Corning, of the infirmities of age. She had been a resident of Corning for many years. Her husband, Carlos Rouse, died at Knoxville, Pa., in 1872. Mrs. Rouse is survived by two sons, Marcellus Rouse and Thaddeus R. Rouse, of Corning. Also by three sisters, and a brother, Mrs. Margaret Miller of Blossburg, Mrs. Lettie Haire, of Williamsport; Mrs. Matilda Jackson, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Samuel Neal, of Corning. The funeral was held from the First Methodist church, Corning , Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Burton M. Clark, officiating; burial in Hope cemetery. Hope Cemetery Interment Records state she died of cancer of stomach and was buried in lot #60 1912 - Mary Ann's will was probated in Bath, Steuben Co. and her brother, Samuel, was executor. Mary bequeathed to her beloved brother, Samuel, all her property, real and personal. She directed Samuel to pay each of her sons $1.00 - "this being my request to them and each of them in exact proportion to the care and interest they have shown me, their old mother". This will was made out on August 9, 1910.
