Note: 1960 - Feb. 1 - Sun-Gazette - Williamsport: A birthday party that will be different is planned for Mrs. Flora Mase Neal, this city, when she observes her 83rd anniversary today. Its principal attraction will be games of checkers and dominoes. Mrs. Neal delights in these Old-Fashioned games - learned while she lived as a girl near Liberty where her forebearers were pioneer settlers. She has taught them to her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. A grand-daughter explained today that no family party is complete unless grandma gets a chance to test our skills, especially at dominoes. Mrs. Neal resided in Liberty and Canton much of her life but has recently made her home here with a son -in-law and her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Brown, of 677 Heller Avenue. In addition to her daughter, she has three sons, Miles, Clifford, and Harry Neal of Canton; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is the oldest member of the North Union Church in Canton. The family party this evening will be held in Canton. 1963 - Jan. 7 - death of Flora. She was a daughter of Frank and Isabelle Merilla Mase and a sister to Homer Mase of Horseheads, NY. She was living at 677 Heller Ave., Williamsport and died at the Williamsport Hospital. Her birth and death dates found in her obituary in "The Canton Sentinel ". She was buried in Union Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Tioga Co., PA.
