  Donald Miles Neal went by the nickname of "Miley". He and his wife owned and operated a farm on road located off Moretz's Corners and going to Grover, PA. Over the years, he obtained neighboring farms from Baldwins, Donal Rutty, and Lloyd Spencer (the former Murray Rutty farm). His son and grandsons entered the farming business with him when they became of age.
 Sarah always went by her middle name of Alberta.
 He was drafted for WW11 Oct. 24, 1940.

 D. Miles Neal, 88, long-time resident of Roaring Branch, (Union Twp.) passed away with his family by his side on Sunday evening, October 17, 2004 at the Troy Community Hospital. Born March 19, 1916 in Liberty, Pa., Miles was a son of the late Daniel and Flora (Mase) Neal. In addition to working on the family's farm, Miles would walk from his home near Gleason to work at a sawmill in the area of Fallbrook, Armenia Mtn (about five miles) then home again to do his chores. Then in 1937, Miles and the former Alberta "Scrub" (Austin) were married. Together they shared over 65 years until her passing on November 17, 2002. Throughout life Miles was no stranger to hard work. He was a dairy farmer all his life and remained active on the farm until his death. True caretakers of the land, he and Alberta took great pride in their farm and animals. Miles also cherished the time he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Miles was a 50-year member of the Holstein Association and was a member of the Ogdensburg Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law; William and Dorothy Neal, Bud Neal all of Roaring Branch; two daughters and sons-in-law; Janet and John Kerrick of Roaring Branch, Jean and Carl Young of Sylvania; 11 grandchildren; Bill Jr. (Kim) Neal, Ron (Lisa) Neal, Mike (Paula) Neal, Sally Neal, Chad (Jen) Neal, Jana (Danny) Hughes, Jamie Kerrick, Jennifer (Alan) Brown, Jeff (Jennifer) Kerrick, Karie Young and Kristy Young; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. In addition to his beloved wife, Miles was predeceased by two brothers; Harry and Clifford Neal, and a sister, Carrie Brown. In keeping with Mr. Neal's wishes, services will be private. Those who wish may direct memorials in his name to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Pepper Funeral Home, Springrbrook Dr., Canton, Pa.
