Wesley Mitchell, who is visiting his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Alba Neal, in Blossburg, cut his foot quite badly the other day while in bathing. He was taken to the Cottage State Hospital.

1950 - Delayed birth registration at Tioga County Courthouse, Wellsboro , issued
November 3, 1950, certificate #2144:
Wesley stated he was born December 20, 1893 in Blossburg to Howard Agustas Mitchell and Katherine Neal; that Howard was born in Mitchell Creek (near Mansfield) and was age 30 when Wesley was born and that he was a machinist; that Katherine was born in Wellsboro and was age 24 when Wesley was born; that Katherine and Howard had only one child. Wesley stated that his baptismal record had no birth date on it and that his Blossburg High School records had been destroyed by fire in 1934. Wesley showed a photostatic copy of his honorable discharge from the US Navy and had an affadavit signed by May S. Mack that he was who he said he was. Wesley gave as his present address 325 Cross St., Fort Lee, NJ.
