Wellman L. Clark, Sr., 85, Venice, died April 20, 1999. He was born April 25, 1913, in Corning, N.Y., and came to Sarasota 26 years ago from Silver Spring, Md. He retired in 1972, as a scientific glass blower with Naval Ordinance Lab. He was a member of the American Glass Blowers Association. He was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margaret; a daughter, Sharon Ingleton of Venice; a son, Wellman Jr. of Great Mills, Md; and two grandchildren. The service will be at 11 a.m. monday at Venice Presbyterian Church. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge.
