Clark, "Bill", age 86, died Sunday, July 17, 2010 at Founders pavilion in Corning. Willis was born in Corning on July 9, 1924, the son of the late Lewis and Pearl (Neal) Clark. He was the husband of Doris Smith who predeceased him on April 1, 2003. Willis attended Northside high School in Corning and served with the U.S. army from 1943 to 1946 during World War 11. He participated in battles in the Ardennes, Central Europe and in the Rhineland. For his bravery, Bill was awarded three bronze service stars. He had been employed many years by Corning Glass Works where he was a shipping and receiving associate. Willis was a member of the Corning VFW Post #523. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday July 23rd at 10:30 am at Coopers Plains Cemetery, in Painted Post. Willis also lived for a time in Englewood, Sarasota Co., FL.
