Mrs. Bessie I. Schanbacher, 87, wife of Lloyd Schanbacher, formerly of 1419 Cherry Street, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 1973, in the Leader Nursing Center. Both Mr. and Mrs. Schanbacher became residents of the nursing home a few weeks ago. Born January 22, 1886, in Liberty Twp., Tioga County, she was a daughter of Joseph and Ella Harer Roupp. Her husband is her only immediate survivor. The funeral will be at 2:20 p.m. Thursday in the East Point United Methodist Church, Liberty, with the Rev. Melvin L. Whitmire, pastor of the first United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
