Gruver, Stanley Morris - Born in Roaring Branch, PA, April 1, 1878, son of Joseph J., Jr. and Isabel (Morris) Gruver. After completing the schools of his district hometown, he worked with his father serving as an apprentice in the carpenter's trade. He moved to Endicott and began a business of his own, building homes and in a few years found himself firmly established in business. He was a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Shriners. He married in Morris, Tioga Co., PA, September 30, 1879 to Emma Jane Parker, daughter of Ellis M. and Lucy (Neal) Parker. (little mix-up here, September 30, 1879 must be birthdate of Emma Jane Parker)
