PA, retail merchant - dry goods Anna S. wife, age 50, married at age 35, she and parents b. PA Bernice L., dau., age 8?, b. PA 1973 - May 10 - Thursday - The Wellsboro Gazette: Francis C. Roupp, 90, of Liberty, died at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 1973, in the Williamsport Hospital where he had been a surgical patient since April 16. He was born at East Point on April 6, 1883, a son of Joseph and Elmira Harer Roupp. He was a member of the Liberty Lutheran Church and had been its Sunday School superintendent for many years. Mr. Roupp owned and operated a general store in Liberty before retiring. He was a graduate of the former Mansfield Normal School. He was a member of Bloss Lodge 350, F&AM; the Williamsport Consistory; the Laurel Hill Game and Forestry Club, of which he was a past president, and the Liberty Knights of Pythias Lodge. Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Schmelzle; a son , Francis C. Jr., of Athens; a daughter, Miss Bernice Roupp, of Rome, N.Y., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral was held Wednesday in the Church. Burial was in Frieden's Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne E. W alters, his pastor, officiated.
