April 1888, age 12 Wesley Mitchell, nephew, b. Feb. 1895, age 5 1904 - July 27 - Wed. - The Agitator - Wellsboro: Mr. Alfred Neal Injured. Mr. Alfred Neal, of Arnot, an engineer in the mines, was injured Saturday afternoon on the Erie railroad between Arnot and Blossburg. He was on his way to the latter place in the caboose of a freight train and started over the cars, while the train was in motion, to go to the locomotive, the engineer of which he knew. He missed his footing and fell between two of the cars, the bumpers coming together and crushing his leg between the knee and ankle. He was taken to the Blossburg hospital where the injured limb was amputated below the knee. He is at present doing as well as can be expected. Mr. Neal is a brother of Mrs. W. E. Germany 1919 - Bastian Funeral Records p. 193; he was a son of Daniel and Rachel Ridge Neal, that he was a widower, was a locomotive engineer, died of C rrhosis of Liver, buried in Union Cemetery. 1919 - March 5 - Wed. - Wellsboro Gazette: Alfred Neal Arnot - March 3 - died at his home last Tuesday from flu. Funeral at his home. Burial Union Cemetery. Twin brother Alba, Bloss; Anna Allison, Bloss; Angie Lewis, Emma Champaign, Mrs. Richard Smith of Wellsboro 1919 - Register Docket N, page 432 - Tioga County Court - Alfred R. Neal will: executor was Frank S. Hughes. Mr. Hughes to pay Alfred's brother, Alba Neal of Blossburg, $300 each year and pay from time to time, clothing, maintaince, educational expenses of Rachel Emma Erickson of Arnot until she reaches the age of 21. At death of Alba, his share goes to Rachel.
