Doris Clark age 82, of Spring Terrace, Corning, NY died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13 at Corning Hospital. Doris was born in Corning on January 4, 1921, the daughter of the late Richard and Mina (Nichols) Smith. She was employed by Corning Glass Works as an inspector retiring with 28 years of service. She was the wife of Willis F. Clark whom she married on October 30, 1954 in Corning, NY. Doris was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Corning. Her survivors include her husband Willis at home; two sisters, Elizabeth (Milton) Brockman of Panted Post; Marian Smith of Corning; one brother, Richard (Marian) Smith of Elmira; a brother-in-law, Robert (Sharon) Clark of Grants Pass, Or; sisters-in-law, Virginia Shea of Corning, Marjorie O'Shanick of Venice, FL, and Charlotte (Charles) Smith of Englewood, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, April 17 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Inc., 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3:00 PM with Reverend Carol Keller officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association- Rochester Chapter, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
