 Popular Couple Wed Saturday
An unusually pretty wedding took place at noon last Saturday, June 10, when Miss Margaret Louise Champaign and Mr. Charels Augustus Snyder were married at the home of the bride's parents, on Meade street. The house was tastefully decorated with pink and white peonies, laurel and ferns. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Oliphant, of Galeton, formerly pastor of the Little Church Around the Corner in New York city. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Nellie Champaign, and was given in marriage by her father, Hon. William E. Champaign. James L. Snyder, of Chicago, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride's gown was one of white crepe de chine and lace, and her bridal veil was fastened with a bandeau of pearl beads. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lillies of the valley. The bridesmaid's gown was of pastel georgette and she carried pink roses. Immediately after the ceremony an elaborate five-course luncheon was served under the direction of Miss Lida Retan of Mansfield, teacher of domestic science in the Wellsboro schools, to about thirty guests. The tables were decorated with forget-me-nots and pink blossoms and the favors and place cards were in keeping with the color scheme. The bride is a daughter of Hon. and Mrs. W. E. Champaign. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, class of 1912, and has been a successful teacher in the Wellsboro High School. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. J . L. Snyder. He is a graduate of New York University, class of 1920, a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, and during the world war was in the naval aviation service. For over a year Mr. Snyder was employed by the American Bosch Magneto corporation. During the past nine moths he has been manager of The Chas. F. Pitt Company's store at Patton, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder left by motor for a trip to the Adirondacks, Canadian and New England points. They have the hearty good wishes of a host of friends for lifelong happiness and good fortune. The out-of-town guests were: Mrs . Cora R. Snyder, of Patton; Mr. and Mrs. Leigh M. Champaign and Mrs. Emma M. Champaign, of Ithaca, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Alba Neal and Mrs. Wesley Bower, of Blossburg; Mrs. Alwilda D. Bennett and J. H. Baker, of Patton; Mrs. W. E. Keyes, of Boston, and George S.
