Note: 1850 - census - Bloss Twp.: William, age 20, laborer - living with parents 1860 - June 13 - census - McIntyre Twp., Lycoming Co.: William Stratton, age 30, laborer, b. PA Emily A., age 24, b. NY Charlott M., age 3, b. PA John, age 1, b. PA 1870 - census - Aug. 1 - McIntyre Twp.: W. Stratton, age 46, works in coal mine, b. NY (probably mistake by census taker) Emma, age 34, b. PA Charlotte, age 13, b. PA John, age 11, b. PA Myrtie, age 6, b. PA Lettus, age 3/12 1876 - November - William and Emily sold about 27 acres of land in Union Township back to William Rathbun who had owned it previously. 1880 - June 1 - census - Arnot - Bloss Twp.: William is age 49, a miner, living with 43 year old wife, Emma, and their daughter, Myrtle, age 16. 1884 - Emily died September 5 and was buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Ogdensburg, Union Township, Tioga County, PA. But, on marriage application for William and Nancy, it states his first wife died November 19, 1883. 1887 - February 25 - Marriage license #258, Bk 2, Tioga Co.: William W. Stratton, age 56 on Nov. 19, 1886, living in Arnot, a miner. His first wife died Nov. 19, 1883. He is a son of David and Sarah Stratton, bride is Nancy. 1889 - Tioga County Directory - William W. Stratton - post office, Arnot - Road 4 - pick handle maker 1900 - June 29 - census - Bloss Twp.: William Stratton, b. Nov. 1829, age 70, married 14 years, b. PA, dad b. NJ, mom b. PA Nancy, b. June 1835, age 64, 10 children born to her with 5 living, she and parents b. PA Chester Nickerson, step-son, b. March 1871, age 29, single, he and parents b. PA, lumberman 1902 - Aug. 20 - Wellsboro Agitator: Elderly Mr. William Stratton died on the 17th instant at his home between Arnot and Ogdensburg
